I made another trip to the City on Friday to finish buying for Summer/Fall '12 with Carly. We started at the Zac Posen showroom to write his line, Z-Spoke, which wasn't shown last week at Coterie. Not only did we meet Zac Posen himself, but we also saw a few pieces from his Couture Collection that didn't travel to Paris for Fashion Week. My jaw was stuck on the floor when I laid eyes on the navy blue gown and tried on the $15,000 chinchilla jacket. Oh, and Zac Posen told Carly "she looked amazing in his dresses." It was one of the best experiences on this crazy journey of Kouture. Then we went over to Wildfox to finish Fall orders, write their jewelry line, and hang with our awesome rep, Whitney. No surprise, the jewels are so sick. Lots of rose gold bones, skulls, and spikes. We finished the day at Betsey Johnson, where I could hang out all day.  All of the decorations on the walls were hand painted by Betsey and she has racks of her personal vintage pieces that we were able to play with. Our reps invited us to come back to the showroom in the next few weeks to meet Betsey when she is in town. She has always been a huge inspiration for me since the LVG days, it would be a dream for me to talk to her about Kouture. It was a quick trip but another successful one to say the least.
